From the earliest handmade shoes with wooden soles to the post-war adoption of the “ideal” method (outer stitching along the sole), Astorflex has refined its approach to shoemaking for over 200 years. Every pair of Astorflex shoes is produced in their own factory from start to finish. Materials are sourced as close to the facility as possible, ensuring both quality and sustainability. Vegetable-tanned calf leather is used for linings and insoles—treated naturally with oak bark and mimosa for healthier, hypoallergenic, and breathable wear. Soles are primarily crafted from natural rubber, and all parts are assembled using water-based adhesives. The result: shoes that are both durable and environmentally conscious.
